Analysis of AS Blog

 {here are examples of the storyboard and evaluation of our thriller, the poster for our thriller  and our final thriller film}

When looking back at our AS level blog for lasts years coursework project, I  was rather dissapointed.  Although our blog was significantly better than our final thriller film, I felt that we could have worked harder to make the blog better; the poor finish of our blog reflects the minimal time and effort put into creating it.  There are several pros and cons to our project as shown in the tables below:

Cons:
Problem
Effect it had on the production of our thriller
Resolution
indecisive and reluctant to plan/make ideas for the thriller
which made the group behind with work
we decided to go with an idea but opted to change it during filming if necessary.
there was conflict between group members
this made it awkward to work together therefore we didn’t enjoy  what we were doing and little effort was made
we had to get on with the task  in hand regardless, put our differences aside and produce work.
lack of communication
meant that things were delayed in getting done and that individual group members took it upon themselves to complete blog work and therefore we sometimes had the same piece of work being done twice which set us back as other pieces of work weren’t getting done
we had to split the work evenly and instruct certain people to do specific pieces of work.
over-filming some footage
this meant that we couldn’t use the footage we had already filmed for the planned plot and then had to either re-film or change the plot and film new scenes
we decided to change the plot and film new scenes- even though this put us behind with work it was the quickest and easiest option to get ourselves back on track.
changing the plot and settings
which made us fall behind with work as we were effectively starting from the very beginning with the process of making our film
we had to get on with the task  in hand regardless of what we chose to do put  and produce work.
some members of the group were contributing significantly less than others
which made the group behind with work
the other members had to compensate for them and do double the work that they were required to do

As you can see in these tables, we stumbled across significantly more problems during the process of creating our film.  However, the final product turned out to be somewhat of a success

Pro’s
our original intentions and plans for the thriller (once decided) were creative, exciting and bold.
once we had a plan and stuck with it, we took the task in hand our film become much quicker and the group worked together effectively to complete the project.
we incorporated pictures, videos and powerpoint presentations within our blog to make it more dynamic
the theme of our blog represented the thriller genre of our film
we used a wide range of camera angles and editing skills within our thriller film
we produced a successful final product
